| Float a raft down the whitewater portion of the Snake River between Jackson Hole and Alpine, Wyoming. You and your group of 5 to 12 rent a raft, oars, and life jackets and take it upriver 12 miles east of Alpine for an adventure of a lifetime! |
| You will launch at the boat launch site at West Table Creek. You will then float 9 miles, approximately 2-3 hours down to Sheep Gulch where you exit the river. It is a simple 3 mile drive back to Jackson Hole Recreation or, if you leave early enough in the morning, you can make 2 trips in the time allotted and still return your raft by 5:30 pm. |
| All rafts must be back to the stables by 5:30pm or you will be charged a $50 late fee. |

| The river has class 1, 2, and 3 rapids and is
easy to float, except at high runoff stage in early June when it may
have a couple of class 4 rapids. We do not recommend floating the river
when the flow is above 14000 cfs. We can provide you with this
information or you can obtain info at
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?site_no=13022500 |
| In late June through September it is very easy to float with a calm stretch then a fun rapid and then another calm stretch. Even beginners can float it. Just keep it between the banks. |
