Directions: From Jackson, go south on
Hwy 89/26 for 35 miles to the town of Alpine. At the stoplight at Alpine Junction turn right, then almost immediately
turn right again into the parking lot just north of the Chevron Station. We are just 200 yards north of the Chevron
Station, across the big parking lot, a little building that says Riding & Rafts on the roof. There is a billboard
to the side of it that says Jackson Hole Recreation. If coming from Salt Lake direction, go to Afton, Wyoming, then
35 miles north on Hwy 89 to Alpine Junction. If coming from Idaho Falls go 70 miles southeast on Hwy 26 to
Alpine Junction.
We strongly endorse Jackson Hole Horse Rescue for their strong efforts in saving abandoned and unwanted horses. Please go to their site and look around and offer
donations for them to buy hay if you can. You may even want to adopt a horse!

This is a letter we received on June 3, 2009 from
some of our guests. Hey Jonesy, We are back in Nebraska (and have to say it's looking a little bland) after our great and memorable
vacation to your beautiful state. Every time we are on our way home from a vacation, Ron asks all of the kids what their
favorite part of vacation was. The unanimous answer was, "The horseback riding." We were all so impressed
with your hospitality and service, and the breathtaking beauty of the trail ride. It was like nothing else we have ever
done on a vacation. Joe was happy as a clam that you didn't mind him breaking into a canter once in a while, because
most trail rides prohibit that and it's something he loves to do and has done with our own horse. And no matter
what Josh says, we all were very entertained by the occasional stop for some cowboy poetry. In fact, I wish we could get ahold
of the ones you recited on the trail. I even bought Matt a book of cowboy poetry in Jackson when Holly and I went shopping
the day the guys went out on the ATVs. We also were entertained by your off-trail adventures with Snickers, but that's
another story. Anyway, we just wanted to contact you and let you know that even though we did many really fun things
on our trip, your trail ride was the big highlight of our time out there, something we will all remember forever and hope
to do again sometime. If you are ever again in the Fremont area and want to break up your trip, e-mail us ahead of time
or call us at 402-727-1221 and you are more than welcome to stop in for a meal or stay the night before you go on your way.
Ron will give you a tour of the Children's Home and farm area. Thanks again to you and Josh for
a great time! God bless-- Ron, Teresa, Matt, Holly and Joe Giesselmann
